For those who are playing Among Us for the very first time, or those who have been playing for months, it may appear on the surface that the Among Us gameplay is rather straightforward. But that can be far from the truth if you’re looking to become a pro! Considering the three maps are vastly different in many ways, it requires a high level of skill to master any one level. Each individual layout can be difficult to understand while trying to avoid the Impostors and completing the various tasks.
The Mira HQ map is considered by many to be the most challenging map Among Us has designed when compared to the others. This is the case due to the intimacy of the playing field. Our Among Us experts at SQUAB bring you the most essential tactics needed to conquer this map – keeping you one step ahead of the competition while playing the Mira HQ map.
In the Mira HQ map, players spawn at either the Cafeteria or the Launchpad. There is no significant difference in where you spawn. However, one thing you will immediately notice is how narrow the hallways are in the Mira HQ. This can be an advantage for Impostors, making it easier to kill Crewmates within short distances. Among Us has stepped up the difficulty level for Crewmates with this particular design.
Understanding these details about the map and developing an early strategy are necessary if you want to conquer the Mira HQ. One important aspect is to master the pathways and where they lead to. Most importantly, you will want to know the pathway leading to the Communications room. Here is where you can view logs and keep track of other players, especially those sus red players. 😆😆 Be careful not to rely on this area too much, as it can become an excellent hunting ground for Impostors since Crewmates tend to ignore logs due to the difficulty involved.
When it comes to vents, the Mira HQ map is especially interesting when considering how the entire network connects with one another. To be more specific, the Mira HQ consists of eleven vents. Making this an ideal map for Impostors. They can easily kill Crewmates and jump into a vent and avoid detection. Although, not all vents connect with rooms, some instead lead into hallways. So be aware of all your surroundings, as an Impostor might suddenly appear as you’re running through the hallways.
The risk for Impostors getting spotted is reasonably high, considering how small the Mira HQ map is. Limit the number of players on this map, otherwise the Impostors have no chance! 🤣🤣
The main highlight of the Mira HQ map and what makes it especially interesting is the Decontamination hallway. It features doors on both sides, which immediately close for a few brief seconds after entering. This is a critical period of time for Impostors and makes for an excellent spot for killing. Impostors can then escape by sneaking out the vent right next to the door. As Crewmates, you will want to enter the Decontamination hallway in a group of 3 or more. Let’s just hope you don’t have the unfortunate luck of entering with two Impostors. 😭😭
When it comes to Sabotages in the Mira HQ map, Among Us has not incorporated the concept of locking doors in this map, so there is less time for Impostors to perform any activity within the time limits of other Sabotages. There is only one pathway leading to the Reactor and O2, which also requires two players' cooperation to neutralize them. The only efficient way to raise the odds of successfully killing a Crewmate is by turning off the Lights or tampering with the Communications. Crewmates must prioritize sticking together while also being productive, because Impostors will be looking to perform kills as quickly as possible.
The Mira HQ map features various tasks, so if you want to conquer this map, you must familiarize yourself with them. Among Us has designed one visual task in particular that consumes a lot of time. This can be challenging for Crewmates to complete while avoiding Impostors. Balance the importance of completing this task, while evading Impostors at all cost.
The medical scan in MedBay is an excellent task for erasing any suspicion, since it appears green only upon completion by a Crewmate. Therefore, Impostors cannot pretend to be performing this task. Although it sounds difficult in theory, knowing how long it typically takes to complete certain tasks will allow you to identify Impostors who are faking tasks when Crewmates are around. Knowing these skillful hacks will help you dominate the Mira HQ map as well as the Skeld and the Polus maps in Among Us.
